Will Power presents Work in Progress (A Hiphop Theatrical production)

Will Power is an international Playwright who has been blazing brakes in the US for bringing hiphop to theatre and his works have been presented on Broadway with critical success. The US Embassy has now brought him to SA to collaborate with Roach INC in presenting a first ever of such a piece in SA Theatre, called Work in Progress featuring Nveigh, RAS, Nombongo and The beat Oven. As one half of hip hop group, The Anvils, N’Veigh has carved out a name for himself as a force to be reckoned with. The Cap City Rap City – as Pretoria’s burgeoning hip hop scene is dubbed – rapper hails from Mamelodi and is fast becoming one of South Africa’s most sought after emcees.
His multiple appearances on Metro FM’s Rhyme and Reason, YFM’s Rap Activity Jam and winning the Master’s Of Rhythm freestyle competition are testament to his lyrical agility. But it is through winning R30 000 and the title of rap king in Nik Nak’s MC Search that made him a bona fide star.

In addition to releasing an EP– as a part of The Anvils – N’Veigh has appeared on Slikor’s Ventilation Mix tape Volume 2 as well as Beat’Oven’s Straight Out Of The Oven mix tapes.
